Tiny habits that fit a busy relationship

Build a short menu of ways to connect, rather than a long list of daily requirements.

A good connection habit is small enough to survive a normal Tuesday. It should leave you feeling noticed, not behind. Choose from a menu so that care can look different on different days.

Keep a few low-effort options

Send a song, save a question, share a snack photo, offer a sincere compliment, or leave a short voice note. These five gestures need little preparation. Pick one that fits the moment instead of doing all five to prove effort.

Protect occasional focused time

A shared meal, a quiet study session, a weekly chat, a planned walk-call, or an anime episode adds five longer options. Put the one you choose in the calendar and be present for it, even if it is brief.

Make room for care off-screen

Remember an appointment, respect a bedtime, encourage a friendship, help with one agreed task, or give a guilt-free evening alone. Those five actions count too. Connection includes making each other's independent lives easier to enjoy.

Try together

Each choose two habits you would enjoy receiving. Compare your choices before assuming your favorite gesture is also your partner's.

A little closer, every day.
