A partner who regularly makes time for you can become part of the background of your week. Familiarity is comfortable, but it can also make genuine effort easy to overlook.
Name an effort you have stopped noticing
Maybe they check your time zone before calling or remember not to send spoilers. Say what you noticed and why it matters. Keep the appreciation specific enough that it could only be about this person and this moment.
Ask about invisible work
Some care happens out of sight: changing a break time, researching a visit, or remembering a practical detail. Invite your partner to tell you what has taken effort lately. Do not assume an easy-looking gesture was easy to arrange.
Make appreciation reciprocal without enforcing symmetry
Both people should have room to be seen, but a thank-you does not need an immediate equivalent. If one person consistently feels taken for granted, discuss that pattern directly rather than using gratitude messages as a hidden tally.
Think of something your partner does so regularly that you now expect it. Thank them for the effort without implying they must keep doing it forever.
