Protect individual accounts
Use strong unique passwords and multi-factor authentication where available. Do not exchange account credentials as a test of trust. Sharing a watchlist or photo album through an invitation is different from giving someone access to your entire account.
Decide what can leave the chat
Ask before reposting drawings, messages, or photos. Discuss lock-screen previews and shared devices too. Something sent privately can still be copied or captured, so avoid promising that a disappearing message guarantees privacy.
Plan for access to change
Review shared links and permissions when circumstances change. Location sharing should remain optional and revocable. If a relationship ends, each person should be able to keep control of their own accounts without negotiating for a password.
