A weekly planning session before you close the distance

Turn a major move into a sequence of smaller decisions, with space for the emotional side too.

When a move becomes a real possibility, planning can take over every conversation. A dedicated session can keep practical work moving while protecting other time for simply being together.

Choose one decision per session

Focus on housing options, job timing, or travel arrangements rather than trying to solve the whole move. Separate facts you have verified from assumptions you still need to check. Local rules and eligibility questions may require official guidance or qualified advice.

Share the research fairly

Give each person a clear task and a reasonable timeframe. The person relocating may already carry more administrative and emotional work. Ask about that workload rather than assuming an equal number of tasks means an equal burden.

End with the human question

Ask what feels exciting, what feels like a loss, and what support each person needs. Moving closer can mean leaving friends, familiar places, or a career path. Those feelings do not cancel out the desire to be together.

Try together

Keep a short decision log: what you chose, why, what remains uncertain, and when you will revisit it.

A little closer, every day.

Daily questions, shared watchlists, and memories. Make a little time for each other with Fated.
