Turn a date or trip into a memory episode

Give a real moment a title, a handful of scenes, and room for both perspectives.

Your camera roll may hold the pictures, but it rarely explains why the wrong train became funny or why a quiet breakfast mattered. A memory episode is a small, chosen retelling of a moment you want to revisit together.

Pick one moment with a beginning and ending

Start with a date, a weekend, or a shared online evening rather than an entire year. Give it a title you would recognize later. “The ramen place in the rain” may tell you more than a generic date label.

Choose scenes, not every photo

Select a few images or written details that carry the feeling. Include a caption from each person if you want. You might remember different highlights, and that makes the episode more interesting. Ask before including private messages or photos of anyone else.

Make replay part of the ritual

Revisit the episode on an anniversary, before a return trip, or when a conversation brings it back. Add a detail you forgot without trying to create a definitive record. Keep the episode personal: the details you both remember are what make it yours.

Try together

Create a three-scene episode: the opening, the moment that surprised you, and the detail you would keep for the ending. Finish with one sentence each about how the day felt.

A little closer, every day.
