A scrapbook becomes personal through selection. You do not need every photo, every message, or a perfect design. Choose the moments that still make you feel something when the day has passed.
Choose a small structure
Create sections for dates, everyday life, and things you want to do next. Keep each entry simple: a title, a date if you know it, and a sentence about why it matters. Avoid collecting more categories than you want to maintain.
Add both perspectives
The same visit may have a different favorite moment for each person. Invite your partner to add a caption rather than rewriting theirs to match your memory. A shared story can hold more than one point of view.
Decide what stays private
Ask before including intimate messages or photos of other people. Check sharing permissions and keep copies of material you do not want to lose. A scrapbook should feel like a chosen collection, not an archive someone assembled without your knowledge.
Make one page called “The scenes we almost forgot.” Add a small detail from three different days.
